AlcoholEdu for College Frequently Asked Questions

When will the course be available?

July 21, 2008

I am a transfer student.  Do I need to complete AlcoholEdu?

No, only incoming students are expected to complete the course. A student with less than 24 credit hours is classified as a freshman by the University and will be required to complete AlcoholEdu.

What will happen if I do not complete AlcoholEdu?

A letter will be sent to Judicial Affairs for follow-up.

Can you tell me where on campus I can use a computer to complete AlcoholEdu?

Some colleges and departments have computer labs for students to use.  Visit http://pclabs.ua.edu for computer lab listings.

I am having technical problems, what should I do?

Should you experience any difficulties or require support, the AlcoholEdu Online Technical Support Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Go to www.mybama.ua.edu and sign on with your username and password. Select the "Campus Life" tab and click on the AlcoholEdu link to access the course. Next, simply click on the "Help" button located in the upper right-hand corner of every AlcoholEdu College screen or call 1-866-384-9062. You do not need to be logged into the course to access the Help Site.

I am not sure if my computer meets the technical requirements to support the course.
Click here to view the minimal technical requirements.  If you do not have ready access to a computer that meets the minimum system technical requirements, you may try using a computer at a local library, copy center, or community center.

What does it take to pass the AlcoholEdu course?

A score of 80% or higher is required.  There are instructions for retaking the course under the Troubleshooting Guide.

I would like to speak to someone at The University of Alabama regarding the course.  Who should I contact?
